Today was our travel day.  We left Oostburg around 2:40 am and began making our way down to Atlanta, GA.  Aside from being inches away from hitting a deer in Sheboygan, it was a pretty uneventful trip.  The weather was okay and the traffic wasn't too bad.  We arrived at 7 Bridges just before 9:00 pm and we were met by Nick Jones, the head of the men's ministry.  Nick has been here nearly 8 years and is one of the few men who live onsite.

Nick gave us a brief orientation and tour and then gave us time to unpack and get settled in for the night.  After settling in and getting our pj's on, we had a short devotion and shared what we were excited about and what we were nervous about as we prepare to jump into life at 7 Bridges tomorrow morning.

We will mix in with the women and children for breakfast and then spend some time playing with the kids.  Around noon we will join with people from the community and go out on route handing out lunches and warm clothes, and sharing the gospel and praying with people.

I look forward to seeing how our group responds to everything that comes our way tomorrow.  I know they're excited and ready to be pushed.  We hope you check back tomorrow to see how our day went.  Thank you to all who are praying for our group this week.  We are blessed to be here and we are grateful those who are upholding us in prayer.

Group photo.  Not sure how Kim got cut out of this one!

The word I heard most at this stop... "sketchy".  It's actually unreal how much salt we have caked on our van and trailer!

Getting the beds set up.

A little hang out time after our short Bible study tonight.
